Pakistan facing economic problems and internal and external challenges: CM Punjab
Lahore: December 11, 2011 ( www.pmln.com.pk) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is passing through a difficult situation and it is facing economic problems and internal and external challenges. He said that we have to march forward unitedly for bringing out the country out of these difficulties and problems. He said that inefficient rulers have ruined the country, nation and the economy and the time has come that the entire nation should unite at one platform for the security and survival of the country. He was addressing elected representatives, office bearers and workers of Muslim League-N belonging to Bahawalnagar and Vehari districts, here today. Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa, Senator Pervaiz Rashid and Advisor Raja Ashfaq Sarwar were also present on the occasion. Addressing on this occasion, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that service to people is mission of Pakistan Muslim League-N and all out resources are being utilized for the accomplishment of this agenda. He said that special attention has been paid to the development of backward areas and a network of development schemes has been laid in these areas. He said that revolutionary projects like Daanish schools and mobile health units have also been started from these areas. He said that development projects for provision of health, education, potable water, transport and other facilities are being completed speedily throughout the province. He asked the elected representatives and party workers to make service to the people their motto and utilize all their energies for resolution of their problems. Elected representatives while paying rich tributes to Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif over excellent development work in Southern Punjab, informed about the progress of ongoing development schemes and problems of the people of their respective areas.
CM Punjab laid foundation stone of medical college in Dera Ghazi Khan.
DG Khan: December 11, 2011 ( www.pmln.com.pk)Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif spent a very busy day in Dera Ghazi Khan and inaugurated development projects of billion of rupees. He laid foundation stone of medical college in Dera Ghazi Khan which will cost a huge amount of Rs. 80 crore and the longstanding desire of male and female students of the area of getting modern education will be fulfilled. Punjab Chief Minister distributed scholarships among the poor but talented male and female students under Punjab Educational Endowment Fund which included those children who are studying at prestigious universities of the country but were unable to pay the fees. Chief Minister also inaugurated art council constructed at a cost of Rs. six crore in DG Khan. While visiting the newly constructed hall, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif directed that it should be utilized for the recreation of the people of South Punjab and other suitable purpose. Chief Minister went to vocational centre in DG Khan. He distributed scholarships among 50 children. Maimuna Bilal, Ghulam Amjad Hussain and Muhammad Shehroz addressing on this occasion said that they had never thought of it that they can get a scholarship for education by the government and their dream of getting higher education has been fulfilled only due to Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Chief Minister inspected newly constructed roads and sewerage in the city. At the end of the visit, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also stopped for a while at the residence of Senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa. Provincial Ministers, Members of National and Provincial Assembly and a large number of people were also present on this occasion. During the visit of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to Dera Ghazi Khan, people demonstrated extraordinary enthusiasm. While expressing their gratitude for the development works at a large scale in the city, they raised slogans in favour of Mian Brothers and Muslim League and warmly welcomed the Chief Minister everywhere. Chief Minister was garlanded at various places and the people paid rich tributes to the Chief Minister on the development and educational projects of billion of rupees for Southern Punjab through traditional and regional dancing, upon which Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that this is the right of the people and he is determined to ensure provision of facilities in every nook and corner of the province.
all out resources for skilled youth in Punjab: Shahbaz Sharif
Lahore: December 11, 2011 ( www.pmln.com.pk)Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced that no male or female skilled youth will remain jobless in Punjab and the government will provide all out resources for creating self-employment opportunities for this purpose. He made this announcement while launching interest-free small loans scheme under Punjab Self-employment Scheme in Dera Ghazi Khan today. He also announced that an amount of Rs. six billion will be allocated next year for provision of small loans. Chief Minister said that the rulers in past treated South Punjab discriminatory whereas Muslim League-N government like other welfare and development projects, has also started provision of interest free loans scheme from Dera Ghazi Khan in South Punjab for removing the deprivations of this region and bringing it at par with other areas. While addressing the functions of stone foundations laying and inauguration of various projects in Dera Ghazi Khan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that today Pakistan is under a debt of 64 billion dollars. He said that taking loan is not a bad thing, however, the charity of Aghyaar is given with hatred and humiliation and is drenched in blood of innocent people. He said that these high rise government secretariats, palaces and big vehicles have been constructed and purchased with the money of charity and this amount martyred our 25 Jawans. He expressed the hope that young generation will put an end to begging for restoring the real status of Pakistan. He said that innocent people were killed through Drone attacks in Bajore and other areas. He said that begging from others results in insult and humiliation. Chief Minister said that not the elite, rich people, politicians, generals and officers only have the right over national resources but the 18 crore people of Pakistan have equal right over it. He said that we have to materialize the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal through our acts. He said that when a firm determination is made, no hurdle can stop development and we have to march forward through hard work instead of seeking help from others and wandering around with begging bowl. He said that those who plundered loans worth trillion of rupees are constructing palaces whereas poor is becoming poorer. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that quality education is the only key to development for which the amount of Punjab Endowment Fund has been increased more than Rs. 8 billion and had this process been started with the creation of Pakistan, this amount would have increased to trillions and no child would have been deprived of education. He said that Punjab Endowment Fund (PEF) is not only bearing the educational expenses of crores of rupees of the talented students of Punjab but also other provinces including Azad Kashmir as well and Rs. 10 billion will be added next year to this fund. Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while laying the foundation stone of medical college at Dera Ghazi Khan said that this institute will be completed in eight months at a cost of Rs. 80 crore whereas the building spreading over 200 kanals adjacent to Divisional Headquarters Hospital will also be completed in eight months so that the male and female students could get education in Dera Ghazi Khan instead of Bahawalpur during next academic year. He also announced provision of a bus while inaugurating the vocational training institute on Jampur Road. Senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa addressing the function of Educational Endowment Fund at Government Girls College Dera Ghazi Khan said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, construction of roads and water supply and drainage schemes have been completed at a cost of Rs. one billion under City Development Package of Urban Renewal Programme for making Dera Ghazi Khan a developed and modern city. He disclosed that Khadim-e-Aala has given a number of educational gifts and Ghazi Medical College, Excellence Centre, Ghazi University, Daanish School, launching of Degree Colleges at Shah Sadaruddin, Kot Chatha and Choti and upgradation of numerous schools are a candid proof of this fact. Dr. Hafiz Abdul Karim termed the inauguration of vocational training institute as a practical step towards development of southern Punjab. Sardar Hassamuddin Khosa, Sardar Muhammad Saifuddin Khosa MNA, Provincial Minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khosa, Members Provincial Assembly and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
Govt failed to arrest BB’s assassins: Nawaz Sharif

Larkana: December 10, 2011 ( www.pmln.com.pk)PML-N President Nawaz Sharif while addressing a huge public gathering in Larkana, said he is seeing a change in the thinking of people of Larkana, Sindh and across the country, Geo News reported Saturday. Nawaz said people of Pakistan are changing as he could see the same enthusiasm in the people of other parts of the country. While blaming the PPP leadership, he said all such people are now ministers and advisors who left Mohratma Benazir Bhutto in critical condition when she was attacked, adding that such people could never be sincere with the party. ’The government has failed to arrest the assassins of leader of their party Benazir Bhutto,’ he added. ‘Arresting her killers should be the top priority of the government.’ He regretted that there is lawlessness in the country while during his tenure, he had eliminated the dacoits in three months and if given chance, they would eradicate this menace again. He paid rich tribute to the martyred PPP leader Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and said that she was his sister and if he will come in power again, he will bring BB’s killers to book. Mentioning about the flood victims, the PML-N leader said that it is our responsibility to help our brothers in need as they have suffered a lot. He said that his government would approve loans on lenient terms to the skilled workers and educated people. Addressing the loadshedding issue, Nawaz said there would have been no power outages if PML-N has been in government. He lashed out at the PPP government and said the institutions like Railways, PIA and Steel Mills are suffering badly under the current leadership

Shahbaz Sharif today visited Mayo Hospital health of a worker hailing from Nankana.

Faisalabad:December 10, 2011 ( www.pmln.com.pk) Chief Minister Punjab, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today visited Mayo Hospital and enquired after the health of a worker hailing from Nankana, Mohammad Ibrahim, who was afflicted with blindness by some accused having thrown acid into his eyes. On being asked by the Chief Minister to state the details of that deplorable incident on that occasion, Mohammad Ibrahim told that he being a barber, was a poor person who had six children. He disclosed that some seven influential persons, having abducted him, subjected him to relentless violence and subsequently threw acid into his eyes. Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif commiserating him heartily, expressed lamentation on that inhuman incident and assured him that the persons involved in the crime, no matter how influential they might be, would not be able to escape punishment. The Chief Minister announced that the Punjab government would bear all expenditures pertaining to his treatment while no effort would be spared for his best possible treatment. On that occasion, the Chief Minister also presented a cheque for five lakh rupees to Mohammad Ibrahim and prayed for his early recovery. Later on, talking to the media, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif expressed the opinion that the heart-rending incident was extremely lamentable in which the cruel persons deprived a poor man of vision. He disclosed that the doctors have been directed to do their best to bring his vision back and efforts be made for his treatment anywhere it was possible in the world while the Punjab government would bear all expenditures in that regard. The Chief Minister also informed the media that all the seven accused have already been apprehended who would be brought to condign justice.

Institutions should respect each other: Nawaz Sharif
